Comparación II

Como se comparan cosas depende de las cualidades que se quieran comparar. Cuando se trata de adjetivos de una sola sílaba, normalmente se añade el sufijo -er.
| Charles is richer than Robert. | Charles es más rico que Robert. |

| He is meaner than him. | Él es más ruín que él. |
|
| She is kinder than her husband. | Ella es más amable que su marido. |
|
| She speaks faster than her sister. | Ella habla más deprisa que su
hermana. |
El superlativo se forma añadiendo el sufijo -est.
| I am the oldest. | Soy el mayor. |
|
| He is the meanest of the three. | Él es el más ruín de los
tres. |

| She is the youngest. | Ella es la más joven. |
-Er y -est también se utilizan en adjetivos de dos sílabas cuando terminan en y. La y se convierte en i.
| That frog is uglier. | Esa rana es más fea. |
|
| She is the prettiest. | Ella es la más bonita. |
|
| Your child is naughtier than mine. | Tu hijo es más travieso que el
mío. |
Con los adjetivos de dos o tres sílabas se utilizas los comparativos more o most
| I'm more beautiful than you | Soy más guapa que tú. |

| I'm more truthful than you. | Soy más sincero que tú. |
